Random Birthday Party, Let it go Mama!

Welcome back to my little "Patch-A-Heaven!" It was my middle kiddos birthday last week and I usually go all out and plan a huge party where everything matches and goes along with a well thought out theme that the kid came up with months ago and totally stress about making it all perfect (because that's just how I am!) But this party was very not me! (and guess what...It was fantastic!) Today I'm posting a few pics from our last party. Her party was supposed to be a Masquerade Ball, however most of her little girl friends were gone out of town on vacation and wouldn't be able to attend. So at the last minute we went spontaneous and did a movie and just played. She wanted to see the movie "Despicable Me 2" (hence the Minion Cake! This is as much theme as we had!!) then we came back to the house and made giant bubbles and played with $5.00 Walmart fishing poles, then had cake and ice cream. (Who knew a Walmart kiddy pole would keep kids busy for hours...without any water??!!) The poles came with a heavy rubber fish so they could learn to cast. They were all casting all over the yard before long. (Yes, a few landed in the trees, but that's no big deal, Handy Hubby is used to getting my snags out of trees when we fish on the river, LOL, poor guy!) So my lesson for today is learn to "Just go with it!" Sometimes as mom's we feel that we need to plan, and prep, and stress, and over-do, when all we need to do is sit back and let them play! Be okay with not doing a "big production" every time, let it go and enjoy the spontaneous moments.

Here are a few of our fun moments:

Diva with a fishing pole, need I say more?!
"Chancho, sometimes when you are a (wo)man you wear a gift bag on your head, just for fun!"
"Hi-Yaw!"
Funnest Grandma in the whole wide world!

Learning to cast!
Big bubbles!!

Tell me it somehow resembles the picture lol!

She is a professional bubble maker!
Thanks for the visit! Have a Happy Day from "Patch-A-Heaven!"
